Product Description
Small enough to sit in your palm but strong enough to clear a dusty windshield, this washer pump looks a little like a miniature black-and-white water cannon. Once the washer switch is activated, its internal electric motor quickly draws fluid from the reservoir and sends it through the hoses to the front windshield nozzles.
Designed as an OE-reference replacement, it features a compact engineering-plastic housing, corrosion-resistant internal motor components and a sealed fluid outlet. It is suitable for repairing weak, intermittent or completely inoperative windshield washer systems without modifying the original mounting position.
Compact black-and-white housing designed for installation on the washer-fluid reservoir
Stable fluid delivery for consistent windshield spray
Durable engineering-plastic exterior resists moisture and common washer-fluid chemicals
Metal internal motor components provide reliable operating performance
Sealed electrical connection helps protect the motor from moisture
Precision-moulded inlet and outlet reduce the risk of poor hose connections
OE-style mounting structure for straightforward replacement
Suitable for aftermarket repair, wholesale distribution and workshop inventory
Individually inspected for appearance, dimensions and basic operating performance

Fitment can vary according to production date, destination market, reservoir design and electrical connector. Buyers should provide the VIN, original OE number or a clear connector photo before ordering. Hyundai’s catalogue confirms Santa Fe, Santa Fe XL and Veloster applications, while Kia catalogues show additional market-specific uses.
When the driver operates the windshield washer switch, electrical power activates the pump motor. The rotating internal mechanism draws washer fluid from the reservoir, pressurizes it and pushes it through the washer hoses. The fluid then exits through the windshield nozzles, helping the wiper blades remove dust, mud, insects, road salt and light debris.
Although it is a small component, it plays an important role in maintaining visibility during dusty weather, rain and long-distance driving.
Replacing a damaged washer pump may correct the following symptoms:
No washer fluid sprays onto the front windshield
The pump is silent when the washer switch is pressed
Washer fluid comes out slowly or without enough pressure
Spray operation is intermittent
The original pump motor is seized, worn or internally corroded
Fluid leaks from a cracked pump housing or worn pump connection
The windshield cannot be cleaned effectively during driving
A new pump restores washer-fluid delivery when the original motor is the cause of the failure, improving visibility and helping drivers clean the windshield without stopping the vehicle.
Check whether the reservoir contains enough washer fluid. Inspect the hoses for kinks, disconnection or blockage, and clean any clogged spray nozzles. Air trapped in the hose may require several short operating cycles before fluid reaches the windshield.
Check the fuse, washer switch, wiring harness and electrical connector before assuming that the replacement pump is defective. Confirm that the connector receives the correct vehicle voltage when the washer switch is activated.
Inspect the reservoir opening and rubber sealing grommet. A hardened, torn or incorrectly installed grommet can cause leakage even when the pump itself is new. Replacing the seal together with the pump is recommended when the original rubber has deteriorated.
Weak spray can be caused by clogged nozzles, restricted hoses, contaminated washer fluid or a partially blocked reservoir filter. The complete washer-fluid path should be inspected.
It is designed for OE-style installation when the original number, connector and reservoir interface match. Because Hyundai and Kia may use different pumps across markets and production dates, VIN verification is strongly recommended.
Kingmay supplies OE-reference aftermarket and OEM-standard options. A product should only be described as “Genuine Hyundai/Kia” when the quotation and packaging specifically confirm genuine-brand supply.
Disconnect the vehicle battery or switch off the ignition before working on the electrical connector.
Drain or collect the washer fluid before removing the original pump.
Clean the reservoir mounting opening and inspect the rubber grommet.
Do not force the electrical plug or fluid hose onto an incompatible connection.
Refill the reservoir with suitable washer fluid rather than untreated water.
Test the pump and inspect for leakage before reinstalling surrounding trim.
Avoid operating the pump dry for an extended period, as this may shorten motor life.
