Structural & Performance Features of 35170-22600 TPS Sensor

OEM-Matched Structural Design

The sensor follows 1:1 OEM structural dimensions, with mounting hole spacing, 3-pin pin definition, spindle inner hole size and rotation stroke aligned with genuine parts. No wiring modification or additional calibration is required before basic operation, and the unit fits the original throttle body mounting position.

Linear Signal Output Performance

The uniform resistive track supports linear voltage change from idle to full throttle. It transmits throttle opening data to the ECU in real time, to support fuel injection and ignition timing adjustment. The gold-plated sliding contact maintains stable signal transmission, reducing risk of signal jump, intermittent faults or voltage drift during acceleration and deceleration.

Sealing & Environmental Adaptation Design

A built-in green fluorine rubber O-ring blocks engine oil mist, dust and dirt from entering internal circuits, reducing conductive track corrosion and extending service life. The high-temperature resistant ABS housing maintains stable performance under engine compartment high-temperature environments, with resistance to deformation, brittleness and signal drift under extreme heat.

Multi-Environment Reliability Testing

Each sensor passes high-low temperature cycling, vibration durability, dustproof and salt spray tests before packaging. The testing process supports consistent performance across complex urban and mountain driving conditions. The sensor supports restoration of standard engine dynamic performance, including stable idle, consistent throttle response and standard fuel consumption levels.

FAQ & Installation Guide for 35170-22600 Throttle Position Sensor

Engine Warning Light with Circuit Fault Codes

Symptoms: MIL lamp stays illuminated after startup; scanner reads throttle position circuit malfunction codes P0120, P0122 or P0123. Causes: Loose, oxidized or water-damaged sensor wiring plug; worn internal sensor resistor or open circuit; short circuit of harness wires. Solutions: Disconnect battery negative, unplug the connector and clean pin corrosion with contact cleaner. Test signal voltage with a multimeter; replace 35170-22600 if signal output is abnormal. Inspect wiring for abrasion and repair broken lines. Clear fault codes after repair and test the vehicle.

Unstable Idle Speed & RPM Surging

Symptoms: Idle fluctuates up and down randomly; RPM surges without pressing the gas pedal. Causes: Worn internal sliding resistor of the TPS; carbon buildup on throttle valve interferes with sensor signal; poor connector contact. Solutions: Clean throttle body carbon deposits thoroughly. Reconnect and lock the harness plug tightly. Replace 35170-22600 if signal changes discontinuously during throttle movement.

Sluggish Acceleration & Power Output Drop

Symptoms: Slow response when pressing the accelerator; weak power output during overtaking. Causes: Delayed or distorted throttle signal from a faulty TPS; sensor signal offset. Solutions: Calibrate the throttle position sensor after installation. Replace the defective 35170-22600 unit and reset the ECU.

Installation Fitment & Calibration Issues

Symptoms: Sensor cannot align with the throttle shaft; connector cannot clip into place. Causes: Wrong OEM number mismatched with the throttle body; damaged mounting lugs during shipping. Solutions: Compare original sensor shape, mounting hole and plug pin layout with 35170-22600. Do not force installation; replace deformed sensors directly. Do not over-tighten mounting screws to avoid cracking the sensor housing. After installation, turn ignition ON without starting the engine to complete throttle self-learning.

Packaging & Customization for Commercial Procurement

For commercial procurement and bulk orders, the product supports minimum order quantities of 500-1000 units. Two packaging options are available: genuine (MOBIS) standard packaging, and aftermarket packaging including neutral packaging (most widely adopted) and custom brand packaging. Technical support for fitment verification is provided for all bulk orders.
