The 39180-25300 crankshaft position sensor is designed for engine management systems on compatible Hyundai and Kia vehicles. It detects crankshaft angle to support fuel injection and ignition timing control. Manufactured with high-temperature resistant neodymium magnets and shielded copper windings, the unit operates within a wide ambient temperature range. Production takes place in a 12,000 sq.m sensor production facility that supplies engine rebuilders and ignition specialists across 30+ countries. Each unit undergoes dynamic calibration on engine simulators before packaging, to reduce diagnostic time for professional technicians. This sensor fits vehicles equipped with G4KD, G4KC and G4KE 2.0L and 2.4L gasoline engines produced from 2006 to 2015.

The unit follows 1:1 OEM structural design, with mounting lug position, probe air gap, 3-pin pin definition, harness length and routing clips aligned with original factory parts. No wire cutting or ECU recalibration is required after installation, and it fits the engine timing cover mounting position directly. Its high-permeability magnetic core captures crankshaft reluctor tooth pulse signals in real time, transmitting engine RPM and crank angle data to the ECU to control fuel injection timing, ignition advance and variable valve operation logic.
The tightly wound coil reduces signal attenuation and engine compartment electromagnetic noise, to reduce signal loss, signal jump or intermittent misdetection at high engine RPM. A built-in heat-resistant O-ring blocks engine oil mist, coolant vapor and dust from invading internal components, to reduce short circuit risk under long-term high-temperature engine bay conditions. The unit comes with an original woven protective sleeve to prevent wire abrasion, pulling and fracture caused by engine vibration. The PA66 reinforced shell maintains stable mechanical performance without deformation or cracking under continuous high heat.
Each sensor passes high-low temperature cycling, swing fatigue, waterproof, dustproof and salt spray corrosion tests, to adapt to urban, mountain and high-speed heavy-load driving conditions. Accurate crankshaft position signal supports consistent cold startup, stable idle and linear throttle response, and addresses common failure issues including hard cold start, engine stall while driving, rough idle, illuminated engine malfunction warning light, random misfire and reduced acceleration power.
Symptoms include repeated cranking and failure to ignite when cold, with normal startup after the engine warms up. Root causes include internal coil aging that leads to weak signal output under low temperature, and oil corrosion on the integrated wiring harness that causes intermittent signal loss. Solutions include replacing the faulty unit with a new 39180-25300 sensor, cleaning oil sludge and metal debris on the mounting hole and crank reluctor ring before installation, erasing historical fault codes and completing a cold start test after replacement.
Symptoms include sudden engine cutout during acceleration or idling, with an immediate drop to zero on the tachometer. Root causes include intermittent signal dropout from oil-corroded connector pins, cracked wiring harness, or worn sensor probe.
