The crankshaft is forged from QT800-3 ductile iron with a minimum tensile strength of 830MPa. The 4-cylinder 8-counterweight structure is engineered to withstand combustion pressures and torsional loads under regular operating conditions.
All main and connecting rod journals are ground to micron-level tolerances. Journal surfaces undergo induction hardening to reach HRC 58-62, which increases wear resistance and extends bearing service life.
Internal inclined oil passages are built into the crankshaft to deliver consistent lubrication to all journal surfaces across different engine RPM and load conditions, reducing dry friction risk.
Each unit undergoes dynamic balancing testing with a tolerance of ≤5g·cm. This process reduces rotational vibration and noise, supporting stable engine operation.
The crankshaft follows 1:1 OEM mold design, with identical journal dimensions, bolt patterns, counterweight positions and oil passage locations as original parts. No additional machining or modification is required for installation.
This symptom typically stems from worn main or connecting rod bearings, scored crankshaft journals, spun bearing shells, or broken oil film under heavy load. Diagnosis can be done via mechanical stethoscope inspection, engine oil metal debris check and oil pressure monitoring. For minor journal wear (≤0.05mm), journals can be ground to oversize and matched with oversized bearings. For severe scoring or pitting, replace the entire crankshaft assembly, along with all bearings and cleaned oil galleries.
Excessive bearing clearance from worn journals, blocked oil passages from metal particles, damaged oil gallery plugs or secondary oil pump wear may cause this issue. Verify oil pressure with a mechanical gauge; normal hot idle pressure ranges 1.5-2.5 bar, and normal operating pressure at 2000 RPM ranges 3.0-4.5 bar. If journal wear is confirmed, replace the crankshaft and full bearing set, flush the lubrication system, and install a new oil pump and pressure sensor.
Bent or twisted crankshafts, damaged balance weights, uneven journal wear or excessive end play from worn thrust bearings can lead to vibration. Measure radial runout with a dial indicator; maximum allowable runout is 0.08mm. For bends exceeding 0.08mm, crankshaft replacement is recommended, along with dynamic balance testing before installation and thrust bearing replacement if needed.
Worn or grooved seal journals, aged rubber seals, improper seal installation or excessive crankshaft end play are common causes. Front seal leaks appear near the timing cover, while rear seal leaks appear near the transmission bellhousing. If the seal journal is undamaged, replace the oil seal only. If the journal shows grooves or wear, replace the crankshaft for long-term performance.
Our 20,000 sq.m. production facility has an annual output of 120,000 crankshafts, supporting bulk orders for industrial clients. The minimum order quantity for customized solutions ranges from 500 to 1000 units. Packaging options include genuine Mobis standard packaging, neutral aftermarket packaging and branded packaging to match different business operations needs.
