39180-2F600 CKP Sensor Structural & Performance Features

The sensor follows 1:1 OEM structural dimensions for direct replacement. Mounting thread depth, probe air gap, pin definition, wiring length and clip positions align with factory parts, requiring no wiring cutting or ECU recalibration after installation.

A high-permeability magnetic core captures crankshaft reluctor tooth signals in real time, delivering RPM and crank angle data to the ECU for fuel injection timing, glow plug preheat and turbocharger control. The dense copper winding reduces signal attenuation and engine bay electromagnetic noise, lowering risks of signal loss or misdetection at high RPM.

An integrated fluorine rubber O-ring blocks oil mist, coolant vapor and dust from internal components, reducing short circuit and burnout risks in high-temperature engine bays. Fixed plastic buckles secure the wiring harness to prevent abrasion and fracture from engine vibration, while the PA66 housing maintains mechanical stability under sustained heat without deformation or cracking.

Each unit passes high-low temperature cycling, swing fatigue, waterproof, dustproof and salt spray tests, adapting to urban, mountain, heavy-load highway and cold-start driving conditions. Accurate signal output supports consistent cold start performance, steady idle and linear throttle response, addressing issues such as power lag, stalling, black smoke and acceleration hesitation caused by faulty sensors.

39180-2F600 Sensor Packaging & Customization for Commercial Procurement

For warehouse distributors, color-coded packaging and clear application labeling are available to reduce pick errors in inventory management. Engine program developers can request custom calibration for specific engine platforms to match project requirements.

Custom support is available for orders of 500 to 1000 units and above. Packaging options include Genuine (MOBIS) Standard Packaging, and aftermarket options covering neutral packaging and branded packaging.

39180-2F600 Crankshaft Position Sensor FAQ

Hard Cold Start / Long Crank No Start Issue

Aging internal coils cause weak signal output at low temperatures. Replace the sensor, clean mounting surfaces and reluctor ring debris, then clear fault codes and complete a cold start test.

Random Engine Stall While Driving

Intermittent signal dropout stems from corroded connector pins, cracked wiring or worn probes. Clean terminals and inspect wiring; replace the sensor if the circuit remains intact.

Rough Idle, Misfire & Black Smoke

Distorted signals disrupt injection timing. Scan for DTCs P0335, P0336, P0337, P0338, inspect the probe for damage, and tighten to 10 N·m standard torque.

Tachometer Shows Zero RPM

A defective sensor fails to transmit speed signals. Test AC output with a multimeter and check circuit continuity; replace the sensor if power and ground are normal.

P0335 Code Reappears After Replacement

Over-tightening, thread locker, damaged reluctor rings or wiring issues cause recurrence. Install without sealant, torque to 10 N·m, maintain 0.8–1.2mm air gap, and inspect reluctor rings and wiring.

Oil Leakage at Mount Base

Aged O-rings lose sealing performance. Replace the full sensor assembly with its integrated sealing ring.

Abnormal Resistance Readings

Out-of-range resistance (standard 600–1200Ω) indicates internal coil open or short circuit. Replace the sensor directly, as internal coils cannot be repaired separately.

Wiring Harness Heat & Vibration Damage

High temperature and vibration damage insulation near heat shields. Route wiring away from heat sources, secure clips, and replace the unit if internal strands break.

Cross Compatibility Notice

This sensor is exclusive to 2.0/2.2 CRDi diesel engines; gasoline CKP sensors have different inductance parameters and cannot be interchanged. Verify the exact OE number before purchase.
